Sisters Kate and Charmaine Gorman set up their production Company, then called Baby Banksia, in 2000 to produce their own works.
In 2006 they changed the name to Gorman Works.
Daughters of actors both the girls grew up under a dressing room table either on tour in theatres with their mum Judith Roberts, or on film sets with their father Reg Gorman. They both started acting in television and theatre at a young age, and did so consistently for the next 25 years.
In her early 20’s Charmaine started writing for the theatre, after several produced plays she then wrote with Kate for television sketch comedy and eventually screen plays. Kate started directing first in theatre, then television and now feature film.
‘Gorman Works is all about developing new works and telling stories we are passionate about with artistic freedom and in an environment conducive to discovery.‘
